All special occasion dresses on contract involve you going to a fabric store after complete measurements are taken. You would then pick out and purchase a pattern, material, and all necessary notions to bring/send to us, along with your accurate measurements.
If the contract is done long distance or through the mail, you are responsible for all shipping charges, both from you to us and returning. Plan on at least one fitting, when we will mail you an unfinished garment to fit and it will need to be sent back to us.
At the time of the contract, we would determine with you whether or not you would need a fitting muslin before the garment was made from the fashion fabric you chose. This usually happens if your fabric is delicate or difficult to make fitting adjustments with - such as taffeta or delicate lace. In most cases, satin will need a muslin fitting before sewing.
We would then make the garment (or muslin) to your specifications and send it back to you for fitting.
If this is done long distance/through the mail, you will need an experienced clothier to do the final fittings and hemming, which will cost you extra over our charges.
If the contract is done locally, we, of course, will do the final fittings and hemming as part of the original quote given to you for the dress.
Sales tax will be charged to Wisconsin residents on the labor price of the dress.
